The Marble Checkmate

Defined by a sophisticated interplay of geometry and texture, this project redefines high-end living through a disciplined black-and-white lens. The architectural narrative is driven by the rhythmic patterns of checkered stone and the sweeping curves of a central helical staircase, creating a dynamic sense of movement throughout the open-plan layout. In the private quarters, the design pivots toward artisanal warmth, featuring geometric wood-carved vanities, burl wood accents, and plush dusty-rose textiles that soften the stony grandeur of the veined marble walls. The Marble Checkmate is a result of a residence where structural boldness and sensory comfort coexist, highlighted by custom lighting fixtures that float like sculptural clouds above the meticulously planned spaces.
